Le voyage éducatif ne cesse jamais...

Je m'appelle Thomas Westfall et je suis candidat en éducation à l'Université d'Ottawa. J'ai commencé mon parcours pour devenir éducateur au printemps 2018, en même temps que mon programme B.Ed Primaire / Junior, français langue seconde. À l'origine, je n'avais pas commencé sur cette voie pour devenir enseignant, j'ai travaillé pendant plusieurs années dans le secteur financier. J'ai eu le goût d'enseigner grâce au bénévolat que j'ai fait, en enseignant à des étudiants de différents âges en matière de littératie financière. La profession d'enseignement m’a mordu et j’ai décidé de changer de carrière. Mon objectif était d’enseigner aux étudiants les compétences pratiques dont ils auraient besoin dans le futur. Je crois fermement que l'apprentissage par la pratique est la meilleure façon d'apprendre.

À propos de moi

My name is Thomas Westfall, I'm currently a Teacher Candidate at the University of Ottawa. I started my journey to become an educator in the spring of 2018 when I began my B.Ed Primary/Junior, French as a Second Language program. I didn't originally start on this path to become a teacher, I worked for several years in the finance industry. I got my taste for teaching through volunteer work, teaching students of different ages about financial literacy. The teaching bug bit me and I decided to change career paths, my focus was on teaching students practical skills they would need in the future. I'm a strong believer that learning through doing is the best way to learn.
